Cambium Networks radios utilize PoE (Power over Ethernet) for delivering power and data. This PoE power supply has an AC input and a Data Input which then drives a 56V power plus data( PoE) output to the radio. This PoE power supply meets stringent Level VI efficiency requirements and carries regulatory compliance for deployment in most locations around the world. The unit is designed to be compact easy to deploy while delivering reliability and high performance. A POE injector, a device also commonly known as a “midspan,” introduces or injects power onto an Ethernet cable. The injector adds power to data that is coming from a non-PoE switch or “endspan.” It has an external power supply. 

How it's Works:
With PoE injectors, you send power and data through the Ethernet cable between the IP Camera and the injector. The data travels from the switch into the injector, which feeds it to the IP camera over 2 pairs of wires in the Ethernet cable. 

The primary purpose of a power injector is to allow a network admin to add a power supply to an ethernet cable. Power Injectors are brilliant if you want to make use of data cables that are already in place to power your devices, or are reluctant to install additional power sockets throughout your office or building

How to Connect:
The steps to connect your system using a PoE switch are as follows: Connect an Ethernet cable from the LAN port on the PoE switch to your router. Connect the power cable to the PoE switch and a power outlet or surge protector. Connect IP cameras to ports 1~8 on the PoE switch using the Ethernet extension cables.
